In case you hadn't noticed, the ASCII clause doesn't work very well. Another "gotcha" with it is make sure that there is no extra space in your detail band above/below the fields and that all the fields are the same height and position in the same vertical position. Otherwise, you'll occasionally get a blank line in your output between detail records.
