It turns out that the problem was the I was doing a
SET PRINTER TO NAME (name)
and the name did not exist. The name is stored in an INI file, and is normally set under program control (from APRINTERS) In this case, the user had edited it manually and changed it to HPLASER instead of the correct HPLASERJET. I don't know if this relates to your problem or not, just wanted to follow up on this problem.
Thanks,
Chris Vesper
>I am having the same problem running across a WAN. Thought it was related to Long Printer Names, but they were changed and I am still getting the error. I can trap the error and RETRY ususally works, but not always. Seems alot of people are having this problem but know one has found a bulletproof solition.
