Esthetics aside, it seems to me there should be little or no difference in performance. The first query is fully optimized. The second query cannot fully optimize since there are no added indexes on the result of the first, right?

As for the code formatting, huh? Where do I find info on the formatting. Just what I need, another bloody programming language to learn <g>
