After reading about 20 different pages on MSFT's site, I still can't understand what they are talking about. Can somebody help me with our configuration/licensing quesions?

We are planning on deploying a Win2000 server within our development workgroup. The number of users that will simultaneously use the File/Print services of the server is less than 10. However, although there will be less than 10 simultaneous users, these 10 users will be randomly accessing the server from a pool of about 50 different people. Also, these users (who move around within our medical center) will be accessing the server by logging onto any of 200 or so PC's within our general area. Furthermore, the server will also function as a webserver and FTP server to our global constituency. So we might have as many as 50-100 simultaneous HTTP connections.

We are not allowed to configure this Win2000 server as a domain server within the very large NT domain managed by our "big brother" IS department. So the server is basically going to be a workgroup server for our development group and will also function as a webserver and FTP server on Internet. It's the ASP 3.0 / IIS 5.0 capabilities that we are most interested in.

So, which Win2000 product should we get? Which licensing model should we choose? How many CAL's do we need?

Thanks very much for your help.
