I disagree with your premise here, that delivery of applications is a prime criterion for delivery of applications. Leaving aside that you've restricted the class of applications that you consider "real-world" upthread, there is much more that is neccessary.

I've read the help files.
I've read books.
I've talked to some of the top Fox developers.
I've delivered real-world apps.
I'm reasonably well up on the latest technology.

I would make a friggin' lousy technical editor.
