John,

>When and where did he say this? I know about the support of web services - as that is more of a COM-Related issue. Web Forms OTOH, is deeply ingrained in the designers.

Here on the UT, message#335115 on 2/21/2000:

Where is VFP you ask? Web Forms are a User Interface designer and we can't at this time make a blanket promise that VFP will have the same functionality as VB and VC for Web Forms, or for Windows forms for that matter. We will do what we can, but it is too early to say what that will be.

>Lets look again at your statement:
>
>1. Robert Green said the VFP team is working on Web Forms.
>2. He could not promise VFP 7 will have the functionality to create them.
>
>These two statement really don't go together....

Your logic is flawed. The statements do go together if the team is attempting to incorporate Web Forms but cannot promise that they will be successful.

>Again I ask the question, where and when did Robert say this? And, is it first hand knowledge you have or is it something somebody told you. All to oftem, there are tons of innaccurate information passed around here based on nothing more than "he said, she said" proof...

If I misinterpreted Robert's statement, then that's one issue. However, it sounded to me like "we will do what we can" indicated an attempt. BTW, I don't intentionally pass inaccurate information around. I do pass around "he said..." if the "he" is Robert, Randy or Ricardo, and they said it publicly.
