OK, I didn't know if that did anything more than just the pack or not. Now I know.
But I have never seen these "inert copies". Mine are always marked for delete once they are replaced by newer versions.

>>>Well - I thought that by regularly using and packing my VCX files I was doing all that I needed to do to avoid "VCX Bloat". Well I've discovered now that many of my VCX's seem to have - for lack of a better term - "inert copies" of forms objects ,etc. in them that are NOT deleted in the table although they are not used by VFP. By simply copying the classes in the library to another new library - I eliminated something like 600 rows in one case.

>>How about opening your .VCX in the Class Browser and doing a "Clean Up Class Library" (last icon on the right)?
