You have to get a handle on the file, which takes an API call. The problem is you are hitting an NT authentication dialogue which has it's own handle. Check the files section for an api to get windows handles. I think George Tasker has put one up here. if not, I've got a sample on my old VFP website at HTTP://home.att.net/~john.harvey/vfpstuff.htm
