Understood. Every situation will have slightly blurred lines compared to others. My "title" at the family business back in Alabama was Publisher and Advertising Manager, but I did a little of everything, including writing, first-pass editing, double-checking facts on sensitive stories, page layout and "cram-it-into-the-page-somehow" editing.

If I went to work for the Atlanta Journal, I'd expect there to be a little less crossover of duties, but I still would feel a responsibility for the entire finished product and would watch for errors even if not in my job description.
