In addition to what Nick said, if you are working in VFP 6, you can modify the VFP native builders to provide enhanced functionality. The source code for the builders is in the tools folder under VFP in a zip file called xSource.zip.

You may also want to check out ASELOBJ() in the on-line help. This is the command that is the key to building a builder.
