Stephen: Interestingly, in a recent review of password managers, PC Magazine wrote about a product that does something similar to what you suggest:

v-GO's object-oriented master password mechanism offers a refreshing
change. Instead of typing in a boring text password, you select a theme-
based password window and then manipulate the objects on the password
screen. One example is hiding valuables in a bedroom. You can create a
password that requires you to put the camera in the chest of drawers,
drop the love letter in the closet, and place the gold watch in the safe.
Those mouse actions in context are much easier to remember than
v97@26e9 and harder to crack than a favorite pet's name.
