Actually, I think learning to add in the decimal system is harder to learn than the binary system. With binary I don't have to take my shoes off when I get to 10.

It's much easier, using binary, to prove the digital computer (at the hardware level)can only perform one mathmatical operation. That being Adding.

When you try to explain the same theory using the decimal system, it takes many more pages. Most beginners think it's "magic".
