>I guess it begs the questions... Do you feel personally attacked here? Do you feel I have attacked you personally? I ask this because people have alledged this. If I have, I would like to hear it from you. Based on that answer, we can work from there...

John - reality check time. You have issues beyond the scope of the issue under focus in your line of investigation here. I have issues in dealing with Walter that extend to more than our disagreements over technology; I'll not stoop to the level of denying this. There may be enough excess baggage between you and Tamar that she's uncomfortable addressing the issues here in Chatter, which has recently been opened up to less than PC discussion. She owes you the courtesy of a statement that she'd rather not address the issues here and now under your set of rules, but her way of saying that may be to simply not reply. You can take that any way you might like, but this is not criminal court here yet. (I'd be terrified if it were, I might be sentenced to having to look at SBT code while "Muskrat Love" blared from a tinny set of PC speakers!)

We got your message. I don't think there's anyone who's not up to speed on your feelings of disapproval of FPA's direction, and your justifiable disppointment at the pointed snub of your fine work on the ADO JumpStart whitepaper given in the FPA's less than comprehensive treatment of the subject in their recent article. Those of us with a clue who read the article know that failing to point to your whitepaper did a real disservice to the VFP community that relies on FPA for information on where to learn about important technical directions for the VFP product.

Maybe it's time for some other people to stand up and be counted among those disappointed by the pointed ommission of a reference to the ADO JumpStart. John Koziol already rang in. Count me as a subscriber who recognizes that FPA did not do the topic justice, either. Maybe other people will kick in here with their feelings and impressions.

To Tamar and the FPA staff, I'd ask why no reference to JVP's ADO JumpStart whitepaper was given in the article. Are you planning to have additional articles that will draw on this important point of reference for VFP developers interested in the ADO technology?

>>I think that the Sysops doing nothing when there are personal attacks would be a terrible thing to allow. There are choices in between doing nothing and freezing threads or locking people out. How about having Sysops speak to offenders to remind them of the rules of conduct? Do you really want the UT to be a place where anyone can say anything to anyone else?
