One of the reasons we wrote our NewsServerX component is that many web-board packages don't come with NNTP interfaces. Our interface-based approach to handling the actual article data provides the ability to retrieve the data from whatever database/file-scheme is being used to store the articles - making it easy to provide an NNTP interface.
