Hi oRox --
>>
>Nah, I seen you comin'. But I'll take ya up on that, anyway, if the offer's still valid?
of course! I never say I dont mean.
<<
Lookin' forward to it, I'm sure.
>>
>Web forums suck. No doubt about it!
so ok, that's a common sentiment among newsgroup die hards.
<<
Hmmm, you seem to have me confused for someone of a more fanatical nature. I simply don't have time for scads of stateless connections between reading each message.
>>
But in your opinion, as far as web forums go... wouldnt you say the UT interface is better than some?
<<
Better than some? Probably. I'm not a good one to ask, as I have next to *zero* tolerance for this stuff. To me, it's a classic case of technological ignorance -- or as folks say round here, not using the right tool for the job.
>>
>Ah, yeah, that would be a problem, alright. Outlook doesn't "do" news.
thank you! I thought I was missing something.
<<
You are! ;-)
>>
> You can either swallow real hard (you can do that, right, oRox?) and use OE, or grab a copy of Agent or Gravity instead.
gimme an URL and might just do that. Then again, dinking around with OE sounds easier.
<<
OE is easy to ramp up, but MS has totally hosed it in the last couple revs. I'm gonna be moving off to something else real soon. Leaning heavily towards Agent < http://www.forteinc.com > as the replacement. Kick-ass, but ancient, interface. IOW, if you're a mouser who wouldn't know an INI file from a regedit script, stick with OE.
>>
>Heh, been burned before, have you? <g>
tied to a stake and torched... on a regular basis. < smirk > And I love every minute of it! =D)
<<
Oh yeah! We'll get along just fine. :-)
Later... Karl
