No, but the critiques were from the the standpoint of being a developer. And, if you are going to critique from the standpoint of being a developer, you should have some relevant experience. If you do it from the standpoint of being a user, I would tend to agree with you...
When you say phrases like this should be there, that should be here, you need full mouse support, there is too much reliance on the mouse, it begs the question of how much real world experience the person making the comment has. Clearly, if they ever developed a web app, they would not be asking the questions.
In summary, I would expect a former editor/current technical editor of a magazine such as FPA to be a bit more technically competent than what they have demonstrated here. In other words, I could care less about a technical editors views as a user. I am interested in their developer view points. I hear the view points of users all the time.
