John,
>Are you attempting to correlate age with your views of what is proper/improper civil behavior?
I think my explanatory paragraphs were pretty clear about what I am researching and wondering about.
>Age is totally irrelevant as your thoery has no basis in fact..
Your statement is based on which facts? I am attempting to gather some facts. You are attempting to refute a theory without stating any facts to back up your position.
>Another thing, I had my son, who will be 9 next month in Cub Scouts. Took him out. The Cub Scouts might be one of the most corrupt organizations on the planet.

>Here is my experience.. Paid in a lot of money. And yet, I wonder where all the money goes. I went to a few leader events. A bunch of adults giving EACH OTHER awards while dressed in their lame uniforms. Talk about a bunch of people that have to get a life.....
I'll not get into a debate about Scouts at the moment, other than to say I have much respect for the obvious result of Scout training -- based solely on my limited experience of 6 years as a Scout (Cub and Boy Scout) and 3 years as a Scout parent. Questions of fund-raising and leadership structure are not my major focus.
