John,

>Having a conservative outlook and what Dave is implying are two different things.

I believe that the question I posed was worded along the lines of "I am wondering...", "I am intrigued", etc. I am not planning to somehow twist the result of this informal survey to match some evil agenda. I'm looking for facts to help me understand what's going on here. It's that simple.

What, specifically do you *think* I am implying?

>One could easily say that folks 50+ don't have a clue as to what is going on today, and therefore, have irrelevant opinoins. Of course this view is absurd.

I have some clues about the Insult Mentality, but not enough to form a valid conclusion yet. That's the purpose of this thread.

>Age descrimination, in either direction, is bad...

Where in the world do you get "discrimination" from what I posted?

>>I think there are also regional differences that can account for different attitudes. Here in the South, we routinely open doors for ladies, teach our kids that you don't refer to adults by their first name, etc. etc. You yanks have total disregard for such notions - as a rule.*g*

>That's BS...

Which part of Harvey's paragraph do you consider BS? I can confirm by personal experience everything except the last sentence.
