I was in North Richland Hills on N. Loop 820 heading for Denton at 6:05 last night. The hail started, and I dived for cover underneath a church's awning (along with about twelve other cars and 80 or so people in the church). Just as I was getting under the cover, the sirens sounded and KRLD radio confirmed the funnel in downtown --

and I saw the funnel near Meacham Field forming.

You've never seen eighty people head for cover faster in your life, including me (I'm a Kansas boy, so this isn't my first tornado).

Fortunately, it never touched down.
