Hello all!
have a question.
Is there anyway to perform a batch name change on a set of files within a directory?

What I want to do is take a list of files like so:
001.tif
002.tif
003.tif
"
"
"
010.tif
011.tif

and add the letters "ming" to each file. SO it now looks like this:

ming001.tif
ming002.tif
"
"
ming011.tiff

I know this is possible in unix, but is it possible in w95 or dos; or is there a freeware utility which does this? -I have over 1000 files to change, any help would be greatly appreciated!!
