Sorry I was in too much of a hurry to post a problem I'm working on and just saw this one. I wrote an article in the PC Journal here in St. Louis about choosing the write development tools and did a bit of research after a client asked me why I didn't use Access after 6 months into a project.

I believe the MSDE is also limited to 2GB as a whole. The problem is that the MDB is the limit but it also must contain all tables as opposed to each individual table in VFP is limited to 2GB. One of my current clients is using VFP as a prepost massage and then dumping to an SQL backend. One of the SQL tables is 29GB at the moment and growing fast.
