SQL Server offers DMO (Distributed Management Objects) to allow for programmatic access to DBA type data.

DatabaseRoles is a collection available under SQL 7 DMO. So you might be able to use this to add a user to a role.

This would be quite new to me and I would like to get some counsel on the possibilities here, the pitfalls, etc. I'd appreciate input from anyone who has experience and/or is knowledgable on this issue.
