Hmm...well, I won't say that VC++ is hard, but in my experience it's harder than most languages to pick up without taking classes. If you aren't too familiar with the language your best bet is to find some examples that do something similar to what you'd like and start hacking from there. It can be frustrating and it may take a while at first, but it's a great learning experience.
