AFAIK, there is no upgrade path from VS to an MSDN Universal subscription, even though VS includes a 1 year MSDN Library subscription, and the developer tools portion of the MSDN Universal. You could try begging and pleading with the MS Sales Group over the phone, but I'd not hold my breath...
