It's particularly easy to use with ODBC - SQL-Server or Oracle databases. It takes the fields out of SQL-Server as easily as the old version did from VFP tables. The only change you have to make when designing reports is to remember to use "LIKE" and the "%" sign to show you've only given the first characters of a field. That's standard SQL-Server SELECT syntax, but I still forget sometimes.
