Before this digresses badly, should this be construed as a statement that DISKSPACE() will reliably return the amount of space available on a given logical volume? I think this has been hashed out here recently enough to say that MS has acknowledged failings of the function on volumes where free disk space exceeds 2GB. We've certainly covered the topic of its use to identify whether media is actually mounted in adequate detail.
