Adaptec has finally released DirectCD 3.01 it to work under Win2K. That's right, all of us who've been bitching that we still need NT or Win98 running to be able to create CDs from our Win2K boxes have a fix available from Adaptec, and from what I can tell (I've burned two CD-Rs from my Win2K box with DirectCD 3.01) it's working like a champ. From Adaptec's CD-R newsletter
DirectCD 3.01 released, with Windows 2000 support
-------------------------------------------------
You can download the patch from
http://www.adaptec.com/support/advisor/cdrupdates/dcdwin25to30.html (if
you go to this page and don't see anything about 3.01, please refresh
your browser's cache; the page has definitely been updated).
We do recommend installing this patch, even if you are already using
DirectCD 3.0, even if you aren't using Windows 2000.
This patch ONLY works on English versions of DirectCD. As with Easy CD
Creator, we will be releasing the various other language versions soon,
and will
announce them in the newsletter as soon as available.
You must have at least DirectCD 2.5 installed to upgrade to 3.01
