>We had a dayling savings change last night. It is interesting to compare computer technology to any other peripherals you might have in your house.
>
>When that happens last night, my Windows '98 indicated that it was changed. Windows NT didn't send any notification but it did change it as well.
>
>Now, if you look at any other peripherals in your house. Why is it that the digital clock on the stove, the coffee machine, the video, and the alarm clock can't handle that by themselves. It's the same old story whenever their is a power off. The computers will boot up as is. However, those peripherals will loose the clock settings.

Perhaps because they don't know the date. But, I understand what you are saying. How hard would it be to create a clock, with a date and a lithium battery for appliances like that. Our pc's have em.
