I don't know what would be involved in extending the twit filter to your messages. I do know that the management was concerned about extending it to other views of messages than New Messages for two reasons; 1) the technology involved in doing it, and 2) the obliteration of messages from a particular user's access. With the approach taken, the twit filter will remove the messages from certain IDs from the New Messages view, however the user can get to those messages in other ways.
