Actually, that's not such a bad idea. If you receive some notification that you have been filtered out by X number of users (no specific users' names, to preserve anonymity and/or cordiality between the filterer and the filter-ee), you'll recognize that your fellow Threaders don't want to read your nonsense messages. That way, you can either shape up (keep your messages relevant and useful) or ship out. Plus, you may be a twit 99% of the time, but the other 1%, have a really useful message or an important question. If you don't know you're filtered out, you could post message after message, waiting for a response that may never come, whereas if you know no one's reading your message, you can direct e-mail it to someone or turn to other resources.
