Hi,
I thought the UT people might help with something that is related to SFReports, SDT and my program. Let me say at the start I don't really believe my problem is directly related to SFReports or SDT. They are just part of my program and may in fact influence what is really happening.
Problem: I have a form that does not close but works normally in every other way. Where SDT is related - the form will close normally right after I rebuild the DBC and I haven't exited the program. After rebuilding the DBC (that would also include the views) the form works perfectly; closing, and all other actions. If I exit the program and restart - the form will no longer close.
Right after running rebuild, testing the form and running SFReports the form will no longer close?????????????? This of course is without exiting the program. And all other forms work just fine.
Facts:
The form does not directly use any stonefield classes.
The form uses mybase.vcx, grids.vcx, myforms.vcx.
Mybase class = several special forms.
Grids class = just normal grid class
myforms = just normal forms controls.
VFP 5.0a running on window's 2000.
Interesting to note: When I open the form in the project manager, close it and then attempt to recompile "all" I get an error that "mybase.vcx" is in use. This behavior just started. I'm not sure it has any relation but I haven't had the problem in the past.
I attempted to follow Doug Hennig advise in an article "Kill Objects Dead" in FoxTalk but have failed to find anything that is left open. I believe there is a reference or some object that is open. But I wonder if it really is left open at compile time and not run time??????????? That's the reason I can't find the open reference.
Any thoughts or help????
TIA
John
