William,
I don't have any experience with Crystal on the web, but according all the documentation i've read, If you want to report on the web, Crystal Reports is the way to go. In seagates latest version (8), there lot's of enhancments for reporting on the web.
And yes, You can export your report to numerous popular formats (RTF, Word, Excel, HTML) to either a file, E-mail or application.
If you're serious, about reporting from any datasource (VFP, Access, SQL-SERVER, ORABLE and others) and have lot's of andvantages over the VFP report writer, buy Crystal Reports version 8 (somewhere between $400 - $600). It's definately worth the cost.
Walter,
>I remember Crystal Reports being included with Visual Studio 5, does it come with 6 as well? Secondly, we are building an Intranet app where the users need to run reports against VFP data. One option we are currently exploring is Adobe Acrobat. The second option is Crystal Reports. Any comments on this from those of you who have gone through this? As an additional requirement, we need the ability to "push" the reports to the client via email. I know we can do this with Adobe but I'm unsure if we can do this with Crystal.
