I'm curious about that comment. Are you referring to COM+, or a rewrite inside of VB related to how COM is handled, or both? Free-threading also must have caused some fairly extensive changes, I would think.

Just how much is *everything*? And how does that relate to the previous discussion about stability of a new release?

Yeah, COM+ changes everything. Freethreading's really no big deal, they just need to (re)add a non-TLS allocation strategy. I'm limited in what I can say, but VS7 will definitely have an impact on many.
