No, but it has some limitations. For instance, if your table has a field name that is a reserved object property (like the common Name), then you'll have problems.

Someone (I think it was Tasker), tried to use SCATTER/GATHER NAME in conjunction with Assign and Access when VFP 6 came out to try and create a data class but I don't think he ever finished it.
