Basically. :-) A popular complaint about VFP reports is that you can't do anything with them. If you sent the report output to a file, you lose all the formatting. John's trying to figure out how to translate VFP reports exactly into Word Automation, if I understand correctly.

Okay, excuse the probable ignorance here, but why not just use Automation? There's no way to create these reports within the program? As a recordset, perhaps? Certainly you could string together the necessary SQL to glom onto whatever data is required, and sling that directly into Word, no?

So what are these reports, anyway? Some alien window that pops up with the data nicely formatted?
