If we followed the MS style, it would likely generate even more 'profanity' as the frustration level increased.
Back on the subject, Profanity and obecenity are different things. Profanity, while not appropriate in 'Polite' company has it's place. Mostly for emphasise.
When I am getting well beyond annoyed with something, a single consanat followed by some shift+upper row characters gets the point across more elogently that an extar sentence or two describing the level of annoyence.
Obesenity, on the other hand, has no place anywhere. Of course, obcenity does not need to use the 'bad' words to be obcene, so it comes down to a matter of individual feeling which is which.
Thats MHO anyway.
