Hi Garrett --

That's if you do Preview: otherwise, it goes to the printer.

This Preview window -- can you select and copy to the clipboard from it?

The benefits to what John is doing are:

1) You only do the work once -- if you want to print to paper or preview, you don't have to use the overhead of cross-process marshalling, and if you want to output to .DOC, you're still all set.

Given the *enormous* overhead of simply firing up Word, I wouldn't be overly concerned with cross-process marshalling for a few dozen data transfer calls.

2) WYSIWIG report design, as opposed to write code, test it, write code, test it, etc.

Back to my first question, if this is copyable, why not just sling the window offscreen, clip it, and paste it back into Word? (Grabbing for straws at the moment.)

Later... Karl
