OE does not have the Outlook automation model, but does follow the MAPI standard, so things that use MSMAPI will work with OE. Nigel Coates has posted some interesting MAPI-related files here on UT in the files section that might be worth investigating; Rick Strahl's free wwIPStuff implements a straight SMTP mail capability.
