Hey Jeffrey.

>> I work with Martin Winfield. You may not know him by name but he informed me that you and he were discussing grids not too long ago when he attempted to give another user some advice. <<

Oh, does he go by S Winfield on Compuserve?

>> You definitely put him in his place <<

I didn't think of it as 'putting him in his place'. He answered a question and in his answer he gave information that was both inaccurate and incorrect. There are a lot of people (not just the asker) trying to learn something from the answers that are posted, so IMHO, it is very important to make sure that you are not giving some novice bad information when you answer a question. After all, the learning curve is steep enough without have more obstacles thrown in your path ;-)

>> by letting him know that you were the grid guru...way to go.... :-) <<

< rof, l> I ain't no guru ;-)

>> I am going to tell you what my problem with the grid was but please promise not to hit me! It's soooo simple, early in the code, I am setting the filter against the table in the grid and I'm just forgetting to SET FILTER TO and GO TOP after the delete. <<

I thought you had code in there somewhere! So you lied to me ;-) FWIW, if I were you, I would not be using filters in grids. They are not Rushmore optimizable in a grid, so if the RecordSource could potentially have a large volume of records, it will be slower than dirt. Personally, I would go with a paramterized view.
