I'm using it to display a list of Users for a Security system, so I want to be able to easily drop the list and select the User to setup security for, and ideally I need the operator to see what user they're working on at all times.

I think you'll probably have to use VFP's. I tried dropping a Microsoft Form's 2.0 Combobox on the MS Toolbar 6.0 and the toolbar "swallowed" it up too, and that combo is an ActiveX control. Sorry.
