I had a similar problem some time ago, except that the message was "File 'prog.exe' does not exist'.

It happened if I was running the .EXE from another computer using the UNC notation (\\server\shared dir\prog.exe), not using a mapped letter, and the path contained a space. The problem occurs both in Win95 and NT4 (not tested in Win98 or Win2000, but I suspect it's still there), and both VFP5 and VFP6SP3 have this problem.

Mapping a drive (and using it instead of the UNC notation) or removing the space from the offending directory/share solved the problem. But then again, I prefer to have the EXE on the local computer.

I might already have told you this when you first posted your message and if that's the case, it was probably not the same problem, so sorry if I end up repeating myself! :)

>No, I haven't resolved it yet. I've had some problems getting assistance from the user's system administrators. I can't go on-site to look at it, so I have to rely on them. It's interesting that your user is having this problem on Win98. I thought that the problem may be related to file permissions or some NT security settings. I guess now I'll look at things like Temp directories and environment settings.
