The DLL works as advertised. The only problem is in the return value of a couple of functions. I think that the CreateShellLink() function does this. Once you determine which do, you can program accordingly.
Ed's made several sites available through his sig. Besides the help files that come with the MSDN library, "The Windows Script Host Programmers Reference" by Dine Esposito (Wrox Press) is a good starting point. There's also a VB perspective on it, I think. Ed knows the title, I haven't read it (yet < g >).
