I have a complex Visual FoxPro 5.0 app running on a LAN.
My client wishes to also connect to 13 remote locations on a WAN.(fiber optic) I have run the app on the WAN and the results vary from acceptable(5-10 seconds) to terrible (multiple minutes for a response). I am aware of the client/server option (remote views/SQL passthru), but I really would like to know what all my options are? Any suggestions as to books, articles, or individuals with expertise would be appreciated.
