If the dbf is hacked or you use SDT, this sounds more like a case of treating the symptom, not the problem. Can you not have the network restrict the person's permissions to delete files? SDT is good when the file has been corrupted due to unforseen circumstances (yes, even if they are the result of some moron deleting the file <g>), but wouldn't prevention be better than cure?
