We had a product description field of length 150. Even though all the documentation says the maximum length for a key in a CDX is 240, I get an invalid key length error when I try to index on this field.

We originally had this field as 100, and created the CDX. We altered teh table when it was a free table to 150 and got no errors. Reindexing does not get an error. If I kill the CDX and recreate it programatically, I get the error. I have even Removed the table from the DBC, altered the table column to 100, indexed, and altered the table again (trying to duplicate our original procedure) only to get the same error.

Any help would be appreciated.
