I am about to begin shipping a large (84 related tables, 2 exe files over 4MB each) accounting system. I want to put the work files in a directory off of the temp dir as defined by the TEMP enviornment var. I know how to do this with the config file. The problem is that I want to be able to read the temp environment var and then set the settings for
EDITWORK =
SORTWORK =
PROGWORK =
TMPFILES =

It appears there is no way to do this from within the program. The only way I have come up with so far is to write a config file out the first time the program runs, exit the program and then start it again referencing the config file. This program will be running on 100s of computers and I would like this to be an automatic thing. Anyone got any better ideas?
