Do you mean you need click code ? You could use gotfocus instead. If mouse events is a must then I think there is an option to use mouse with keyboard only in control panel-Accesibilities.
PS: Underastanding click events in a grid was a real challenge for me and I still cannot say I understand. I would love if grids were never supported mouse events.
