A couple of other programs that might be of help are xCase and Visual Studio.
I use xCase mostly but am leaning towrds using Visual Studio as my future tool though I'm still not too sure how well it can handle the really complex stuff.
Having said that with VS you can jump back & forth from VB, C++, etc... and you might find the integration useful.
