Thanks again, I have triple checked all code and I am 110% positive that I am writing to/reading from HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (110 to the power 10 % in fact).
I am going to crack on with the API Structure for SECURITY_DESCRIPTOR and tie that into my registry class. If it works and it turns out that there is a wierd problem in NT I'll let you know. In the meantime, thanks for your assistance.
