Title:
TextBox & Dropdown working together
I would like to present the user with a list of possible entries, while also allowing free entry of new values. This will be an upgrade to existing code based on a textbox. The problem with simply converting the textbox to the combobox is that the textbox is bound to a view field and used for display. (something the Combo can't do in this context)
My solution is to leave the textbox functioning as before, and add the combobox such that the textbox appears to be the display area of the combo (but the actual combo control is only width=25)
Is there a way to force the right part of the drop-list to align with the right side of the visible part of the combo control? (currently, the left side is aligning, which pushes the list past the edge of the screen) Alignment doesn't do it, probably because the combobox.alignment controls the formatting of the display area. (which isn't even visible) TIA
